CURSO DE CLOWN DE HOSPITAL

4 días, 6 horas al día.
El curso incluye una visita a un hospital y un centro de acogida infantil. El sábado 1 de Mayo tendremos el placer de ver la actuación del Circ Petit, “Can Res Més”, a las 18h, www.elcircpetit.com

Hora de llegada: 29 de Abril, a las 20.00h, recogida en la estación de tren de Figueres. Hora de finalización: 3 de Mayo a las 19h. Se acompañará a los alumnos a la estación de Figueres.

Coste del curso y dietas a partir de la cena del 29 de Abril hasta la comida del 3 de Mayo: 300€

Comprobado científicamente que la risa tiene un efecto terapéutico ilimitado, desde hace años se realizan visitas periódicas de payasos a los hospitales, ya que se ha demostrado que la alegría que esto produce en los niños hace que se recuperen con mayor rapidez. A través de juegos e improvisaciones, aprenderemos a saber cómo debe comportarse un Clown de hospital. Aprenderemos: cómo se comporta nuestro Clown y cómo se comporta en un hospital, qué puede hacer y qué no, recursos varios a utilizar en diferentes ámbitos del hospital, diferentes patologías y qué hacer en caso de que se presenten. No se requiere experiencia previa.

Núria Pereto es Clown desde 2003 y es Presidenta Fundadora de la Asociación de Payasos de Hospital “Salut i Clowns”. CURSO DE CREACIÓN DE NÚMEROS CLOWN

El curso incluye una actuación de los alumnos el 14 de Mayo a las 22.00h en el bar “El Local” en Figueres, www.barellocal.blogspot.com

Hora de llegada: 9 de Mayo, a las 20.00h, recogida en la estación de tren de Figueres.
Hora de finalización: 14 de Mayo a las 12 de la noche (el alumno puede irse o pasar la noche del 14 en Cal Clown, pudiendo estar allí hasta las 12 de la mañana del día 15 como más tarde).

¿Has empezado de encontrar el clown y quieres comenzar la creación de tus propios números? ¿Llevas un tiempo creando números, pero te gustaría mejorar tu proceso creativo? ¿Quieres crear material de clown que realmente funciona, para ti y para tu público? ¿Quieres presentar números ensayados sin perder la frescura del clown? Si respondes que “sí” a cualquiera de estas preguntas, entonces este es un curso para ti. Miraremos 1001 formas de crear gags y números. Como fuentes de inspiración aprovecharemos no sólo tu propio clown sino también los conocimientos de construcción de gags que heredamos de los maestros del pasado y presente. Al final del taller cada uno debería tener bastante material para poder seguir trabajando en el futuro sus números.

Jon Davison es clown, actor, profesor, director y músico durante los últimos 25 años. Fue profesor del Institut del Teatre de Barcelona y otras escuelas de Barcelona. Gestiona el Proyecto Internacional de Investigación del Clown en la Central School of Speech and Drama de Londres, explorando nuevos métodos en la enseñanza del clown. The course includes a visit to a hospital and a children’s centre. On Saturday 1st May we have the pleasure of seeing the performance of Circ Petit, “Can Res Més”, at 6pm, www.elcircpetit.com

Time of arrival: 29th April at 8pm, you will be picked up at Figueres train station.
Time of departure: 3rd May at 7pm. We will take you to Figueres train station.

Cost of tuition, accomodation and all meals from the evening of 29th April until lunch on 3rd May: €300.

It is scientifically proven that laughter has an unlimited therapeutic effect, and for many years clowns have visited hospitals, since it has been shown that the happiness that is produced leads to a speedier recovery. Through games and improvisatios, we will learn how to behave as a clown in a hospital. We will learn what a clown can and can’t do in a hospital setting, which resources to use in different areas of a hospital and with different illnesses. No previous experience is required.

Núria Pereto has been a clown since 2003 and is president and founder of the Hospital Clown Association “Salut i Clowns”. COURSE ON CREATING CLOWN NUMBERS

10th-14th May,
5 days, 6 hours/day.
The course includes a performance by the students on 4th May at 10pm at “El Local” in Figueres, www.barellocal.blogspot.com

Time of arrival: 9th May at 8pm, you will be picked up at Figueres train station.
Time of departure: 14th May at midnight. (Students may leave then or spend the night at Cal Clown ad leave by noon on the 15th). We will take you to Figueres train station.

Cost of tuition, accomodation and all meals from the evening of 9th May until breakfast on 15th May: €350.

Have you begun to discover clown and want to start making your own material? Have you been working on numbers for a while, but would like to improve your creative process? Do you want to create clown material that works, for you and your audience? Do you want to perform rehearsed numbers without losing the freshness of clown? If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, then this is a course for you. We will look at “1001 ways” to devise gags and numbers. As sources of inspiration we shall draw not only on your own clown but also on the knowledge of gag construction that we have inherited from past and present masters of clowning. By the end of this workshop everyone should have enough material to be able to continue working on their own clown numbers.

Jon Davison has more than 25 years experience a clown and clown teacher. Former teacher at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, he is now leading the International Clown Research Project at CSSD (London University), investigating new methods in clown teaching. A student's view of studying at the Escola de Clown

Para los que estáis pensando en estudiar en la Escola de Clown, aqui un estudiante del Curso Profesional de 2 Meses que cuenta su experiencia:

For those of you thinking about studying at the Escola de Clown, here a former student on the 2-Month Professional Course tells of his experience:

"Bueno, para mi el curso fue esencialmente una experiencia única. Como actor, intento siempre elegir los papeles que me emocionan por ser diferentes y excéntricos. Venir a España, un país extranjero, y aprender clown era algo que me entusiasmaba, porque sabía antes de probarlo incluso, que hacer clown sería muy difícil. Pero no me di cuenta de lo difícil que sería.

Una cosa es profundizar en el clown, pero hacerlo en un entorno ajeno era emocionante. Me encanta probar cosas nuevas, experimentar y eso es lo que el curso me permitía hacer. Cada día tenía la oportunidad de ir de un extremo al otro, probar de todo y ver lo que funcionaba, pero también aprender lo que no funcionaba y porqué.

Lo mejor era trabajar con gente de diferentes países, que buscaba las mismas cosas que yo. En el curso estudiaba y trabajaba con 7 personas de 7 países diferentes, todos unidos por el amor al clown. La oportunidad de aprender de ellos era increíble, y no sólo me ha ayudado a la hora de socializarme, sino que también nos ha aportado a todos habilidades esenciales para utilizarlas en nuestras vidas de aquí en adelante.

Pero mi parte preferida eran las actuaciones. Me encanta actuar, y era increíble crear mis propios sketchs y números para un público que hablaba otro idioma. Hacerle reír a alguien, incluso cuando no habláis el mismo idioma, crea una conexión especial, haciendo que los dos se comuniquen a través del humor, un idioma universal. Eso es lo que me llevaré del curso, la comprensión de la verdadera comedia y como la relación entre público y actor funciona… si el actor se lo cree, realmente se cree lo que hace, y si se ve su pasión por su arte, el público responderá, más allá del idioma, la cultura o cualquier diferencia social."

"Well, the course essentially was a once in a lifetime experience for me. As an actor, i try my hardest to take roles and parts which excite me for being different and eccentric. Coming to Spain, a foriegn country, and learning clown, was something which excited me because i knew before I even did clown at uni, that it would be difficult. But i didn't relaise how difficult it would be.

To delve into clown was one thing, but for me the task of using it in an alien envrionment was such a thrill. I love to try new things, to experiment, and that was what the course allowed me to do. Everyday, I was able to go from one extreme to the other. To try everything; see what worked, but also learn what didn't work and why.

The best aspect was to work with like-minded people from different countries. In my course, I studied and worked with 7 people from different countries, all bonded with the love of clown. The chance to learn from them was amazing and not only did it help me in terms of socialising, but also provided key skills for all of us to use in later life.

My favourtie thing though, was the performances. Ii love performing, and to create my own sketches and numbers for an audience who spoke another language was incredible. To make someone laugh, even when you both don't speak the same language, is that special connection, where you both communicate through humour, a universal language. that is what i'll take from the course; the understanding of true comedy and how audience/performer relationships work......if the performer believes, really believes in what he/she is doing, and if his/her passion and love for the art shows, the audience will repsond, regardless of language, custom, or any social division."
